"Great Peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble" (Psalm 119:165 NIV).
Today people are looking everywhere for peace except in God’s word. Why look to the people and things of the world for great peace? It only comes from God.
God not only wants to give you peace, He wants to give you great peace! When you love the law of the Lord, nothing can make you stumble, and you will have great peace. Great peace gives you joy when it doesn't make sense for you to be happy. It passes understanding. Great peace keeps you stable and strong no matter what may come against you. Make the decision to focus your attention on God's Word today and everyday.
As you discipline yourself in the scriptures, you will hunger more for God's Word, and that love for His law will naturally develop. Psalm 119:105 says that His Word is a lamp to our feet and light to our path. That means God's Word directs us. God's Word protects us. You can find peace and security in His Word, knowing that He is faithful and your future is sure! Choose His Word today, and you will have great peace and live the life of blessing God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word that gives me peace. I choose to focus on Your Word today so that You can protect me and guide me. I give You praise today for working in my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
