Making People Better

God’s Favor
In the Bible, we read about man who was born blind. Some people were asking Jesus, “Why was he born this way?” “Whose fault was it, his or his parents?” They were trying to find someone to blame, some reason, some excuse for his condition. And interestingly, we tend to do the same type of thing today. But I love the way Jesus answered them; He said, “It’s not anybody’s fault. The reason this man was born this way was so that the goodness of God could be displayed.” Then He touched the man and healed him. Oh what a touch. Oh what a God!
When you have a setback, when life deals you a tough blow, when the economy is unstable, don’t get bitter Don’t settle there. Get better at praying, at readying his word and praising him for all he has done. Recognize that your trial means you are a prime candidate for God to show His favor and goodness. When the storms of life come, your attitude should be, “God, I’m ready! I know You have something great in store! Weeping my endure for the night but morning is coming. I refuse to live defeated and depressed. I know this difficulty is simply another opportunity for You to show Your goodness through me.” Come on God I’m waiting...
Father, thank You for choosing to show Your glory and goodness through me. I choose to stand in faith, knowing that You are working all things out for my good. I bless You and thank You for Your faithfulness! In Christ’ Name. Amen.
Today’s Promise
"He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18

Harvest Time
Harvest Time
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him” (Genesis 26:12, KJV).
Have you heard the saying, “What goes around comes around?” In reality, that saying is based on the principle in God’s Word of sowing and reaping. Everything you have in your life today is a result of seeds sown in your past. It is a spiritual principle that remains no matter what is going on in the natural realm. Harvest time always comes, but you have to do your part and sow good seeds in order to see a good harvest.
For years, Isaac had been praying and seeking God. He worked so hard and dug many wells in the land. When famine and desolation hit, Isaac wasn’t moved. He sowed seed even in the midst of famine and reaped a hundredfold in the same year! This is a reminder to us today, no matter what things look like in the natural realm, God’s system isn’t shaken. Maybe you’ve been working hard for the last few years, praying and believing God. Don’t be shaken by what’s happening in the world around you. Keep sowing, keep believing, keep praying because God is faithful, and He will pour out an abundant harvest of blessing in every area of your life!
Father in heaven, thank You for Your system of sowing and reaping. I choose to stand on Your Word because You are faithful. Bless the seed I have sown so that I can continue to be a blessing to others around me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Today’s Promise
"We have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast
the beginning of our assurance firm until the end." Hebrews 3:14

Break the Curse Today
“Christ has rescued us from the curse…” (Galatians 3:13, NLT).
I had a lady tell me the other day that she came from a very negative environment. The people who raised her were constantly putting her down. She didn’t feel like she measured up to her sister. She couldn’t seem to keep a good relationship and never got any good breaks. She finally said, “Ray, my life has been one set back after another. I think these people have literally cursed my future.” I told her what I’m telling you today, “Before anyone could curse you, God set you up for a life of blessing. It doesn’t matter what others have said about you; it only matters what God says about you. But you have to make the decision to agree with what He says about you and not anyone else and declare His truth over your life.
The Bible says that when two or more are in agreement, it shall be done. Friend, you and God are a majority! Declare today, “I’m a child of The Most High God. I am blessed and I cannot be cursed. I’m wearing my crown of favor. I’ve been equipped with everything I need to succeed in Jesus’ name!” When you declare what He says about you, you will move forward and not be stuck. forward into the life of blessing He has for you!
Say it with me again, “I’m a child of The Most High God. I am blessed and I cannot be cursed. I’m wearing my crown of favor. I’ve been equipped with everything I need to succeed in Jesus’ name!”
Father, I break every curse over the reader of this devotion and their family… thank You for setting me up for blessings. I choose to set my mind on You and declare Your promises over my life. I thank You for leading me into paths of righteousness. In Christ’ Name. Amen.
Today’s Promise
That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit
together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that
comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting
in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ
Himself." Colossians 2:2

Hope Against The Odds
"Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him…"
(Romans 4:18, NIV)
Do you feel like you are in a hopeless situation today? Is there no sign of change in the natural? Remember, we serve a supernatural God. What looks impossible with man is possible with God.
In the Bible, God told Abraham he would be the father of many nations. But in the natural, this looked impossible. Both he and his wife were beyond child-bearing years. They had no reason to hope or believe it would happen. They had nothing to go on in the natural. But one translation of this verse says, "Hoping in spite of hopeless circumstances, he believed." And you probably know the story. Abraham finally had a son, Isaac and his son, Jacob had 12 sons—the twelve original tribes of Israel with descendants outnumbering the grains of sand on the shore!
Today, I encourage you to do what Abraham did and go against all the odds; hope on in faith anyway. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep moving forward. Don’t focus on the impossible circumstances, focus on the God who makes the impossible possible! Keep looking through your eyes of faith because He has blessing and victory in store for you!
Father, today I choose to hope in You even when everything around me looks hopeless. I invite You to breathe Your life into the impossible circumstances around me. Have Your way in and through me as I dedicate every part of my heart and mind to You. In Christ Name, Amen.
Today’s Promise

himself shall be exalted." Matthew 23:11-12

Raise your Expectations
Raise your Expectations
"Surely goodness and loving-kindness will follow me all the days
of my life..." (Psalm 23:6).
What are you expecting today? Are you expecting to rise higher in
life? Are you expecting good breaks? Are you expecting goodness to
follow you everywhere you go? If you are expecting to get the short
end of the stick, your own wrong thinking will keep you in mediocrity.
Remember, God will meet you at the level of your expectations. Pay
attention to what you are thinking about and make the choice to
believe God for good things. Every day, imagine there are blessings,
favor, increase, and promotion in your path. They already have your
name on it! It's just a matter of time before you come across
them.
Start confessing everyday "Something good is going to
happen to me today." Stand strong when trouble comes, knowing
that your best days are ahead. Believe that God's blessings will
overtake you! Expect goodness and mercy to chase you down. If
you'll learn to raise your level of expectancy, God will pour out
His blessings and favor on you.
Rise to new levels and live the life of victory He has in store.
Today I expect your goodness and loving-kindness to
surround me. I choose to believe that my best days are right out in
front of me. Help me stand strong in You so that I can see Your
blessing in every area of my life.
Today’s Promise
"Do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink,
and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations
of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you
need these things. But seek His kingdom, and these
things will be added to you." Luke 12:29-31

My Heart Toward Him
My Heart Toward Him
"God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to Him" (II Chronicles 16:9, The Message).
Yesterday as I was thinking about my life and some of the mistakes I have made. I was confronted with this thought.
God is looking for people who have a heart toward Him! Notice this verse doesn´t say, "God is looking for people who have perfect performance records, who never make mistakes." No, God knows we are a work in progress. He is looking at our hearts. He knows we are going to make mistakes and fall down, but He also knows we are going to get back up and make the right choices. That´s having a heart toward Him—being committed that no matter how many times you fall, you are going to get back up and press forward toward the things of God. You´re not going to quit, you´re not going to give up, hold back, or lay down. You are going to rise up because you see His hand outstretched before you ready to help you move forward.
Remember, God is on the lookout for you today. He´s longing to be good to those who are seeking His goodness. Keep your heart turned toward Him and allow Him to strengthen and empower you to rise above every obstacle and live in victory in every area of your life!
Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy toward me today. Search my heart. I dedicate it to You. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You always. Amen.
Today’s Promise
"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will
flee from you." James 4:7

Non-Stop Praise
Non-Stop Praise
“Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name” (Hebrews 13:15, NLT).
Praise is more than just singing songs in church. In fact, praise isn’t even about singing songs! Praise is a heart attitude. Praise in your heart is what prompts singing, but it can also be manifest in many different ways. Your words, your actions, your daily life are all ways you give Him praise. Like the verse says, when your actions or words declare your allegiance to His Name, that’s giving God praise. How do your actions declare your allegiance to Him? By simply obeying His Word. When we continually follow His commands, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when we don’t feel like it, even when we are tired, that’s offering a sacrifice of praise to Him.
Remember, praise is a powerful weapon. Many times in the Old Testament, when God’s people would go into battle, they would send the worshipers out first. Praise precedes the victory. When you live a life that offers Him continual praise, you will see continual victory in every area of your life!
Praise is what we do when we need a break through…
So, Hallelujah! In his place of worship,
Hallelujah! Under the open skies;
Hallelujah! For all his acts of power,
Hallelujah! For his magnificent greatness;
Hallelujah! While walking and running
Hallelujah! While eating food,
Hallelujah! While driving the car;
Hallelujah! While dancing and singing,
Hallelujah! While working and resting;
Hallelujah! When the money is low and the bills are high,
Hallelujah! When the trial comes and the tears are flowing.
Let every living, breathing creature say Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Father in heaven, I do offer You continual praise. I choose to follow Your Word so that You may be glorified through me. Let everything within me honor You in all that I do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Today’s Promise
"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and
if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The
things you have learned and received and heard and seen
in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be
with you." Philippians 4:8-9
